When I was growing up, my parents didn’t have any printed photos on our walls. My mother, bless her, had a few photos of just me in 5x7’s on a shelf, but none of my half-brother or me with my parents - just a few individual photos of me.

I found myself thinking about it regularly as the years passed:

“Why am I the only one up there?”
“Why isn’t my brother there?”
“How is the love divided?”
“Are my parents ashamed?”
“Why don’t I have any photos of my parents snuggling me?”

These were a few of the questions that plagued me during my youth and were a big reason why I felt alone while struggling with childhood depression.

I didn’t feel valued, and it created a huge disconnect between my family.

After opening up about the impact this had, my brother contacted me and shared that he had the exact same thoughts and feelings when it came to that sad shelf with the 5x7’s of just me. It affected his mental and emotional wellbeing just as it had affected mine.

Now that I can make a difference with my photography, I choose to strengthen relationships and foster love within families. I want kids to look at their walls and say, “That’s exactly who I am, and I know that I am loved.”

When my oldest daughter’s wall art arrived, I asked her to help me unwrap it. She was absolutely elated to see that it was a photograph of her! She kept saying, “Look mama, that’s me! That’s Willow!” she kissed and hugged this huge artwork of herself, repeatedly. I can tell that it is making a difference and that every single day, she is reminded of how loved she is. - And yes, I made sure my other daughter has a large piece of wall art dedicated to her as well.

I want that for your family.

That’s why it is my personal mission to celebrate you and your loved ones by displaying breathtaking wall art portraits of them in your home.

Why I do what I do…
